March 29, 2016 –

Student Affairs IT assisted the move of The Center for Leadership and ServiceMulticultural and Diversity Affairs, and GatorWell Health and Promotion Services into the renovated J. Wayne Reitz Union.

The Reitz Union expanded to provide a home for eight departments. Student Affairs IT in collaboration with UF Information Technology, Reitz Union Facilities, and UF Planning, Design and Construction worked to ensure a smooth and successful of the three departments.

For several months, the teams scheduled meetings, tours and created timelines to finalize the transition dates. Student Affairs IT planned how to pack, transport and set up more than 60 computer work spaces.

On January 29, Multicultural and Diversity Affairs and the Center for Leadership & Service moved out of Peabody Hall.  Due to construction delays, GatorWell Health and Promotion Services wasn’t able to move into the Reitz Union until March 7. In addition, Student Affairs IT also installed standing desk for staff work spaces.

On February 1, the Reitz Union re-opened to the campus community. The Center for Leadership & Service and the Multicultural & Diversity Affairs offices were completed and ready to use on the same date. GatorWell shortly opened in March.
